About the layout

Basic elements for this layout were made almost a year ago. It was supposed to be the new face of a web page review sate, Ealain Reviews, which no longer exist. I loved the layout very much, but I was aware it needed some improvement, so I left it alone, and forgot about it. A couple of days ago I was looking through my files, found it, loved it again, and decided to redesign it. So, here it is. And I absolutely adore it.

I've been experimenting with stronger colors lately, mostly while making custom graphics, following Web 2.0 standards in design. Web 2.0 graphics are bold, with strong colors, yet edited in a professional way. I didn't follow that above linked tutorial, but I tried to make this design more "Web 2.0". We still have left to see what you guys think about it.

Two layout versions

This layout has two versions: a "heavy" one - the one you're seeing now; and a "light" one - with brighter colors in the content section.

Files, validation, etc.

There are two index files included: one coded in valid HTML, the other in XHTML. If you want to keep the coding valid, be sure to validate your pages after any changes have been made.

The layout's been tested with Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla Firefox 2 and Opera 9.
